Hand-Crushed Marinara

An old-school way to make tomato sauce. Make sure to crush them by hand!

Hand-Crushed Marinara

Use this sauce for pasta, dipping or even a marinara pizza.

  • 1 can peeled tomatoes preferably San Marzano, 16 oz.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or other type of oil)
  • 1 tbsp Kosher salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 bunch fresh basil finely chopped, optional


  • Crush the tomatoes by hand in bowl. Make sure to leave some chunks of tomato.
  • Mix in other ingredients.
  • Enjoy!
