An old-school way to make tomato sauce. Make sure to crush them by hand!
Use this sauce for pasta, dipping or even a marinara pizza.
Servings: 2 cups
- 1 can peeled tomatoes preferably San Marzano, 16 oz.
- 1/4 cup olive oil (or other type of oil)
- 1 tbsp Kosher salt to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
- 1/2 bunch fresh basil finely chopped, optional
- Crush the tomatoes by hand in bowl. Make sure to leave some chunks of tomato.
- Mix in other ingredients.
