Applesauce Raisin Bread
Course: Bread, Dessert
Ingredients
  • 1 cup applesauce regular or chunky
  • 1/4 cup melted margrine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Combine applesauce, melted margarine, and the sugars.
  2. Whisk together all the dry ingredients.
  3. Add to wet mixture.
  4. DO NOT OVER MIX.
  5. Lastly fold in raisins and nuts.
  6. Pour into greased floured 9x5 bread pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour.
  8. Cool and wrap tightly.
  9. NOTE: This is best served the next day.
